This course, Intercultural Research: Status and Application, provides students an overview of the foundations of intercultural research. This course starts with IC history and sets the tone for how survey research methodology and practice are relevant to intercultural research. Primary objectives include developing an understanding and appreciation for (1) the challenges of conducting intercultural research, (2) the theoretical perspectives used to understand and interpret intercultural communication from its past to its present and in the future, and (3) apply strategies and IC methods for collecting research in a practical way across cross-cultural settings.
