This course offers a general
introduction to psycholinguistics. Topics to be covered include the
nature of human language, animal forms of communication, models of word
recognition and word production, first and second language acquisition,
speech afflictions (e.g. aphasia), and doing simple psycholinguistic
experiments. A theme throughout the course will be the nature and nurture of language.
