Corpus linguistics is an important course in the English language and literature study. With the empiricism as its guide line, this course will introduce the basic theories, practical retrieval skills and even some designing software programs. The course will cover the teaching contents during the semester. It includes ABC in corpus construction, lexical items retrieval, collocation and its calculation, lexical bundles and its retrieval, key key words retrieval, lexical items and its dispersion etc. This course will surely help our students handle the linguistic data for the purpose of doing their language researches.
