2017秋季学期澳洲新南威第一学期写作Academic Wrting I

This writing course is designed for students of Foundation Programs (1+3) who are required to have a threshold IELTS score of 6 or 6.5 for their overseas university application.

The purpose of this course is to help the students develop the English writing skills they need to deal effectively with the written element of the IELTS test and their future academic study, as well as to develop other important skills such as critical thinking and reasoning methods. This writing course will also deal with other important aspects of writing known as micro-skills which include how to write an effective introduction and conclusion, how to communicate the main idea of a paragraph to the reader, how to support the main ideas with different types of evidence, how to make clear expression by using more complex sentences, how to write accurately and fluently using language appropriate to the task, etc.

教学目标

本课程旨在帮助澳大利亚预科（1+3）项目学生了解英语国家大学英语说明文和议论文写作的要求，提高英语写作能力，训练英语逻辑思维、批判性思维和各项写作技能，使得学生在一学期的课程学习后达到雅思写作6到6.5分的水平。

本写作课程帮助学生了解英语写作技能，涉及写作原则与技巧、句式、段落、论证逻辑、思路拓展等多角度全方位英语写作能力培养与训练，主要针对图表说明类与议论类作文进行讲解。

1、  图表说明类小作文将通过讲解柱状图、饼状图、曲线图、流程图的范文，说明如何发现规律及趋势，得出结论，同时讲解小作文的整体架构。

2、  议论类大作文通过对讲解议论文的开头、主体、结尾构成要素进行剖析，对英语观点类、原因-结果类、比较-对比类、问题及其结果类议论文类别进行分析、讲解和引导训练，同时关注英语写作的思路、批判性思维和议论逻辑，帮助学生真正了解和掌握国外大学英语写作要求。
