Phonology 2018 (MA School of English Studies)

This course offers a first introduction to phonology, focusing on English but also with attention for other languages. Attention is focused on developing phonological problem-solving skills and practical work. Topics covered include phonemic theory, the relation between phonetics and phonology, distinctive features, the role of morphology and syntax in phonology, syllables and stress.
